bluebayou
Greetings friends, For the last couple of months I've been experiencing terrific back pain. Unfortunately, it was in the very same area as the first go a-round when they found a tumour at C6-7 of my spine. Well my doctor ordered up an MRI of the spine (all other scans had been done a few months earlier and had proven negative). Sure enough, tumour is back. I'm sad about this but not shocked or surprised. I really thought that it was indeed back!! Sad because I was hoping for a little longer of a reprieve (like perhaps the summer) before having to undergo surgery, radiation or both. Appointments are being made as we speak and I will keep you all abreast of what is happening. As to my *almost* deafness, I've seen a specialist who says it is fluid build-up and in six weeks' time if it hasn't cleared up by itself, he will operate to relieve the pressure and rid me of the fluid. That will be a REAL pleasure. I'm so tired of hearing no one but myself (echo chamber effect). I hope and pray that you are all faring well. I think of you all the time. You are my life support and I can't imagine life without you in it. God Bless us All, Francine
Frank Lamb
FRANCINE,I'm sorry you didn't get the summer off as well.I keep wanting to get 3 or4 mos.of rest from it all and that never seems to happen. Please hang in there and keep us informed. KatieB
OH Francine. Please know that you are in my prayers. You could very well have that reprieve after this next round of treatments. Let's say perhaps mid-summer until FOREVER? It's a big order but I'm praying for that. keep us posted as we keep you in our prayers to feel better soon. Much love,

Remembering Dave
Francine, I'm so sorry to hear this, but it sounds like you've got a great attitude to face the next round with. Please know the Chapmans will think of you in prayer. Keep us posted on progress. I'm hoping that fluid resolves itself without surgery. You're going to have enough to deal with, with your back, for the time being. God bless, Karen C.
Margaret
Francine, That is difficult news, but I pray that the pain will be resolved and that your hearing will be restored and that the respite is in the near future. I feel that we are each a link in this *life support* circle and we can't *imagine life* without each of the links. Prayers, Margaret

ginnyde
Francine, I am so sorry about the bad news. It seems to me from my reading here, that the bone mets seem to react well to the radiation and the new meds to 'stop them in their tracks' Glad to hear the hearing problem can be fixed. That echo effect has to be driving you crazy. Prayers are heading you way.

stand4hope
Hi Francine, I, too, am sorry you got this news and have to start treatment again. My husband got the same type of smack-in-the-face today (I posted under test time). Like you, he is disappointed about the summer. In fact, he had a motorcyle trip to the Smokies planned for week of June 7, but it doesn't look like that will happen now. Maybe later in the summer he can go, or early fall when it's not so hot. Hang in there, Francine. I can tell you are a fighter and I hope you get the hearing cleared up real soon. CAN YOU HEAR ME NOW????? Love and prayers, Peggy
